    Description

    For your consideration is this lovely vintage 1904 - 1905 dated expandable sweetheart bracelet. I did some referencing through google and learned that these expandable bracelets were bought for wives and girlfriends to keep a lock of hair in the lockets. Once hair was placed in the locket, it became sealed and does not open. Many men gave them to their sweethearts during the war.
    This particular piece has initials that I am not certain. The gold on this one is also very vibrant and has not worn off and I suspect 18 K. The dates say Pat. Dec 13 1904 and design pat jul 25 1905. Wish I knew the history but it is a lovely nostalgic, romantic, piece of history. Locket measures 7/8" across. Because the bracelet is expandable it should fit most people. Thanks for looking!
